Miriam Shor, 32, was born July 25th, 1971. in Minneapolis, Minnesota and grew up in Italy and Detroit. During her younger years she attended Ferndale High in Detroit while alternating years between there and Italy before graduating from the University of Michigan in 1993. Miriam has a B.F.A. in theatre/drama and a B.A. in English. Her father is Dr. Francis Shor from Wayne State University. Miriam started an interest in acting when she saw her older sister Molly in a production of "Hello Dolly" in her Junior High.
Miriam created the role Yitzak in the award winning off-Broadway production of "Hedwig and The Angry Inch." She also opened the show in Los Angeles and can be heard on the Grammy nominated CD recording. Shor recently reprised her role as Yitzak in the Sundance Film Festival award winning film version of the play.

She has also worked in feature films including Bedazzled, starring Brendon Frasier; Phil Joanou’s Entropy, starring Stephen Dorff and Lauren Holly; Carrie Ansel’s Flushed, and Adam Marcus’ Snow Days.

Miriam starred as Cheryl on the ABC comedy series "Then Came You" and guest starred on "Becker" with Ted Danson and "Deadline" with Oliver Platt. Miriam most recently starred in the short-lived sitcom "Inside Schwartz" alongside Breckin Meyer. She has starred in numerous regional and national tours.

In her spare time, Miriam enjoys exploring every restaurant in New York, where she currently resides when not filming
